When I went to New York in December of 2001, two very shakey little old ladies got into the seats in front of me. I won't ever forget, when one of the ladies asked of her friend in a quiet, and very scared voice, "Why didn't they protect us?" I think that's a pretty damn good question, frankly.

You shouldn't lump all that together, but it's a nice, throwaway excuse.... Fact is, the "government" knew something was in the works. Don't get us started in 4(!) simultaneous hijackings, that but for the fourth, succeeded!

My older brother was in the army at the time and his unit was called up. Seeing him and his buddies leaving to meet their unit in uniform gave me the slightest sense of security.

I hope to give others a sense of security as well.
