Antonio Vivaldi (Venice 1678 - Vienna 1741) composed his Double Concerto for two mandolins (RV532) for the girls of the 'Ospedale della Pietà', a girls orphanage ánd a music school in Venice. Vivaldi was the main violin tutor here from 1704, and from 1713 till 1740 its foremost composer. A place also where he composed most of his beautiful music.
Here the first movement, the 'Allegro' of the Double Mandolin Concerto is played, filmed at a concert performed by the Dutch Mandolin Chamber Orchestra Het CONSORT in 1995 with two members of this orchestra, Paul Liklikuwata and Alex Timmerman as the mandolin soloists.
Thanks go to mr. Gerard Godlieb for making the videos of this concert event. (more)
on youtube there is a version with a modern variation in 1:24. these 2 short "tremolos" are being played in the doubled speed. it sounds great.

@joanx5 You go kid! The Vivaldi is not very hard to play. There are only a couple of short tricky spots. I've been playing it for years. In fact, it's quite fun to play.
