It just shocks me how you look back at him playing with Chick Corea in the 70's and you think "he's amazing, he can't possibly get better". Then you look at his work in the 80's with Refuge West and think "wow, this guy is insane! A human can't possibly get any better at this instrument". Then, you look at this and think..."wow, that's about the best it can get, right?". The man is simply an extension of his instrument, he thinks it, and out it comes. A-freakin-mazing.
