Piano cover of Always Midnight by Pat Monahan. It's a song from his solo album Last of Seven. He is also the lead singer of the American band Train.

Played it by ear but I do have the chords for you:
- intro (B/A, A) 2x (E) 1x
- verse: E, B, Asus2, A
- chorus: C#, B, E, A
- bridge: (B, A )3x (E, B) 1x

I got a lot of questions about the chords above and which notes I use, so I made a little tutorial to explain all this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbEt2U9Hr-s

  • Hey you played exactly what I am looking for, I loved it. I saw the chords in the description but it was hard for me to understand. I have checked everywhere and can't find the piano sheet music. Is there any way you could send me the chrods again, with a better understanding. I would be so greatful. Thanks keep up the good work.

  • I can't give you the exact notes like sheet music cause I played it by listening to the song and just using the chords on the right. What I can do is make a little tutorial to show which notes I use.

  • its beautiful, could you tell me what the piano cords are or which site you got them from thx

  • there on the right side of this page in the description of the video. You can also find them by typing in "always midnight pat monahan chords" in google. sites like ultimate-guitar always have great chord schemes which often also include the lyrics. For the exact notes you could try to listen real good to the song and just try to match that on what you hear. good luck!

  • That's fantastic. Sounds great. Anyway of asking you to cover it again with a different camera angle, like from the top, as to learn from ya'. I haven't been able to find any sheet music for this.

    Thank you!

  • I'll try but I don't know if can film it from above since I only got a normal stand for my camera.
