800 лет назад монгольская степь была заселена множеством племен, самыми крупными из которых были кераиты, меркиты, татары, найманы, монголы. Эти пять крупных племен были независимыми и не подчинялись друг другу. Династия Цзинь в отношении них осуществляла политику «разделяй и властвуй», проводила разбойные набеги, сокращая население этих племен. Эта вражда привела к длительным войнам как на территории монгольской степи, так и за ее пределами, в ходе которых многие монгольские племена и их ханы пролили свою кровь и лишились жизни.

Genghiz Khan liked to drink Turkish kumys, not a todays Mongolians ayraghy, moreover present halhas don't have tamgas required administation of pasturelands not to conflict with neighbouring tribes, halhas were so busy assimilating medival moghols, that have forgotten to leave this important attribute coming from very old times. No, and never were. They have assimilated few numbers of medieval mongols that stayed in todays Mongolia, that's why todays mongolian language is so different from what it was in Ghenghis Khan's times. Todays mongolians have little to do with medieval moghols. Nothing but reminiscences of few turkish tribes mixed with manchus and tungus foresters...

Those manchu and tungus people would later own traditions and nomadic way of living from turks roaming in the steppes of Mongolia, assimilated them and began to call themselves proud kids of Ghenghis Khaan, who actually was a descendent of Gokturkish Bumyn Kaghan, medieval moghols were turks, that is why russian language has so many turkish words and not a single mongolian word.

More to it, at the beginnig of 17-th century AD when the western mongolians- kalmyks, closest relatives to oyrats and todays buddhist mongolians migrated to Volga Region from Xinjang replacing noghay-turks from their motherland, asked russian Queen to call their elite rulers nothing but kontayji, not as khans like majority of turks did.

@Swordman85 if you can listen their native language nd the the Russian it means that the movie is downloaded and not that the people could not delete the original dialogues :) you can get a downloaded but its with 2 languages, but fact is you can watch the movie 3 months before other people in kino ;)

Can't be 1987. The series was first aired in Ovor Mongol in 2004, with TV stations from other provinces acquiring the copyright no earlier than 2005.
