At Cascade Meadows Farm in Oregon, polled dexter cattle and Icelandic sheep are given fresh grass and clover twice a day by moving a simple portalble electric fence line. The cows and sheep mow the fresh area very completely. The sheep also do the weeding and they kill out most weeds and help the grass and clover grow thicker. Additionally, the cows avoid eating grass around their former cow-pies, but the sheep will eat that grass. Mulit-species grazing works very well to improve pastures.
