XYY Syndrome (also known as Super Male Syndrome) is a genetic disease where a male has a extra Y chromosome which results in the certain male producing excess testosterone

In the 1960s a study was made stating that all males with Super Male Syndrome are more prone to aggression and are more likely to be incarcerated

That is not true, a newer study has been done to show that not all men with Super Male Syndrome are like that. But unfortunately many people still believe the fact that was presented in the controversial 1960s study.

This video shows what many people believe Super Male Syndrome is. Enjoy!!

*NOTE THE PERSON IN THIS VIDEO DOES NOT ACTUALLY HAVE SUPER MALE SYNDROME*

  • "XYY Syndrome (also known as Super Male Syndrome) is a genetic disease" - I have XYY and i take the quote "disease" as an offence. It is not a disease, it's a chromosome disorder. Anyway.. I'm 15 at the moment and i dont have acne. Does anyone know the age that it should kick in? :-S

Please reply back and thanks. Also, i found the video quite funny. :)

  • Well sorry, i'll make sure i don't make the same mistake twice!

Hah, well maybe you're lucky not getting acne. ;)

    And thanks :)

  • @BoomLegShot hope this doesnt offend u, but wen u were 15 were u muscular alot more then other kids?

  • @5tristanvm the title says "Stereotyping".....

  • I didn't mean to be rude, merely sharing my thoughts based upon my perception. Good luck with engineering.

FINALLY, I was in grade 9 when I made this, and who the hell said I was ever going into genetics?? THis video was for a stupid science project (which I aced by the way). If someone is going to "sue me for malpractice" over a YouTube video, I would LOVE to see them try. Besides, I went into Engineering.

    So watch your tongue, eh?

  • @whoops655

FIRSTLY, if you actually saw my presentation on this, this video was just making fun of the stereotypes and was used as a device to show how ridiculous some of the misconceptions that people have about this disorder.

SECONDLY, this chromosome disorder does more than subtly enhance male traits, it can produce (in some cases) learning difficulties, delayed speech, and decreased fertility.

  • @yada930 Not all jokes are funny, some can cause serious problems. Just keep in mind going into genetics false studies can ruin lives and that will come back to bite you as mal-practice. In some instances the resulting sentences could be jail time. So simply learn how your false information and desire to humor yourself on others' reality could lead you to detrimental effects in your own life. Just a word of advice for your future projects, if they are worth doing, do them well.

  • This is poor judgement in research and representation. Having an extra Y chromosome is not a disease at all, it merely enhances subtly the male characteristic traits. This video depicts those with XYY as horrible defective individuals similar to Frankenstein's monster, which is offensive to me and i feel that it creates a false image as a scare tactic. The fact remains that this is available as a false image of at least 1/1000 men and will like offend many others that it falsely stereotypes.

  • okay, but this video dont show what really is this syndrome, dont tell the effects and what is it.Showing a man with the disease doesnt really say nothing .you need to tell what is this syndrome

  • Oh,a cuttie cushion in your back at the end
