@holykingfish Mr. Fish is correct - the script logos indicate a 1958 model. I believe the 1958's also went to a single line hose...

Your American 1957 10 hp has been redecaled with 1958 decals. Someone (dealer or restorer) has at some point replaced painted the cowl and replaced the decals. Its not uncommon. Nice motors.
