@N5LHD I was looking at the aardvark website and couldn't find the kit. Do you have a part number and price? And which Briggs generator model are you using? Looking to clone your setup - thanks!

@BigCrzyRdNeck Yes, fuel consumption is a big issue. That’s why I wanted multiple choices. The Tri-Fuel kit is made by Aardvark-AFS, a USA company in WI. Inert gas is feed via a common Low Pressure regulator. Future mods include: solid tires, quieter muffler, hour meter, 12vdc circuit to charge battery.

From Tommy L. in Canada. Hi Mark! When you loaded up 30amp 220v on gas, the gas Governor had a hard time catching up and even then didn't seem to run at the same RPM as it did on Propane.

Yes Tommy, The unit ran fine on gasoline prior to installing the Tri-Fuel kit. After the mod I noticed a hesitation and stumble during demand surges when using gasoline. It ended up being the ID of the venturi was to small. This created a wind turbulent at the intake, causing the fuel mixture to surge between rich/lean. I used a lathe and bored the venturi ID to match the same size of the carburetor intake. All my problems went away. This unit now runs smooth and all tree types of fuel.

IF you have natural gas, you can run it on that instead of the propane.... just saying

@BigCrzyRdNeck The Low Pressure Regulator attaches to the propane tank and should be rated at 11” of water Colum or about 0.4 psi. The Flow Capacity should be a minimum of 120,000 BTU. The Flow Controller is mounted on the generator frame. This functions as an emergency shut off incase your engine dies, keeping your vapor/gas from escaping to the atmosphere. Vapor/Gas flows out of the Flow Controller and in to a Ventura mounted on the carburetor intake.
