I would definitely place AR Rahman in the brilliance category alongside Peter Gabriel's work. The depth and scope of their artistic vision is extraordinary--and Garbriel's albums have held a strong and alluring sufi-like/Hindustani impulse, clearly embodied in the pieces Gabriel released which featured Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan before he passed away. Rahman and Gabriel are exquisite complements to one another. Glad I'm not the only one who has been stunned by the rapturous compositions of both...
