About the Author
Robert Cohen performed research in the 1970's on the hormonal effects on the brain and behavior. Twenty-five years later, this father of three became concerned about the most controversial drug approval in FDA history, the genetically engineered hormone that is now in our milk supply. Along the way, Cohen discovered that milk is implicated in causing breast cancer, osteoporosis, heart disease, and chronic childhood illnesses. Cohen's skills as a researcher, and his passion for the safety of his family, led to his single-minded pursuit to expose the truth about milk. Based on his exhaustive and comprehensive research over the past six years, Cohen predicted the Mad Cow Disease outbreak. His dogged determination has set the American dairy industry on its ear. To insure that all citizens of the world learn the truth, Cohen founded and is executive director of America's Dairy Education Board, a group of nationally prominent doctors dedicated to dispelling the myth that milk is nature's perfect food.

This is a 1998 Hard Copy Special on MILK. What the government doesn't want you to know about milk. Don't drink milk, we know it contains fat and cholesterol but did you know it contains the protein CASEIN (which is basically a glue which leads to a lot of mucous build up and other health problems like asthma and congestion), milk also contains.. powerful growth hormones, viruses, a host of deadly chemical and biological bacterial agents, bovine proteins that cause allergies, insecticides, antibiotics, all this can trigger the growth of cancer and contributes to today's problem of obese children (ever notice why young girls breasts develop faster?). Cow's milk is the number one allergic food in this country. It has been well documented as a cause in diarrhea, cramps, bloating, gas, gastrointestinal bleeding, iron-deficiency anemia, skin rashes, atherosclerosis, and acne. It is the primary cause of recurrent ear infections in children. It has also been linked to insulin dependent diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, infertility, and leukemia. Milk and refined sugar make two of the largest contributions to food induced ill health in our country.

The reader would be wise to check with trustworthy sources of info about dairy safety and effectiveness, such as a Dietician, or a teacher of nutrition, like myself, and NOT to consider videos like this worth anything. This is obviously a biased anti-dairy activist, hardly worth paying any attention to, when there are good sources of nutritional info available, even on-line. The best source is current textbooks, though, of course, which teachers of nutrition use to teach the subject.

One commentor said that they "don't miss RDA...fine without it." which shows how ignorant that person is, since there are no symptoms of osteoporosis, and that is the expected result from not getting the necessary amounts of calcium in one's diet. Some have tried to fool you into thinking that, just because their blood level of calcium is within normal limits, that they don't have osteoporosis, when the body keeps the blood calcium tightly controlled even while low on total body calcium.

If you want to determine whether dairy causes cancer, then study populations in which you can measure those factors and see if there is a connection. This has been done thousands of times, and the results show that dairy products are NOT associated with cancer, and that high intakes are NOT consistently associated with high OR low rates of osteoporosis. The data, when looked at without bias, show that dairy products are safe and not dangerous in any way.

Anti-dairy activists can rant about how some countries with high dairy consumption have high rates of this or that problem, and how the converse is true of some countries, but the data on such things is very much a "scatter-gram," with countries having high consumption having both high and low rates of osteoporosis, cancer, etc. and the converse is true, also. So, you can pick your examples carefully and prove anything you want, but that is not good science.

Note, dear reader, that all current textbooks of nutrition, such as my September, 2012, "Present Knowledge in Nutrition," by Erdman et al, assures us that dairy products are safe and highly effective at providing nutrients for us, especially calcium, as only 4 servings provide the RDA of calcium for kids & older adults, while NO realistic plant source can provide that RDA in reasonable amounts. Bok choy requires 9.2 servings, kale: 13 & broccoli: 18. So, it's dairy or supplements/fortified food.
