About the Author
Robert Cohen performed research in the 1970's on the hormonal effects on the brain and behavior. Twenty-five years later, this father of three became concerned about the most controversial drug approval in FDA history, the genetically engineered hormone that is now in our milk supply. Along the way, Cohen discovered that milk is implicated in causing breast cancer, osteoporosis, heart disease, and chronic childhood illnesses. Cohen's skills as a researcher, and his passion for the safety of his family, led to his single-minded pursuit to expose the truth about milk. Based on his exhaustive and comprehensive research over the past six years, Cohen predicted the Mad Cow Disease outbreak. His dogged determination has set the American dairy industry on its ear. To insure that all citizens of the world learn the truth, Cohen founded and is executive director of America's Dairy Education Board, a group of nationally prominent doctors dedicated to dispelling the myth that milk is nature's perfect food.

This is a 1998 Hard Copy Special on MILK. What the government doesn't want you to know about milk. Don't drink milk, we know it contains fat and cholesterol but did you know it contains the protein CASEIN (which is basically a glue which leads to a lot of mucous build up and other health problems like asthma and congestion), milk also contains.. powerful growth hormones, viruses, a host of deadly chemical and biological bacterial agents, bovine proteins that cause allergies, insecticides, antibiotics, all this can trigger the growth of cancer and contributes to today's problem of obese children (ever notice why young girls breasts develop faster?). Cow's milk is the number one allergic food in this country. It has been well documented as a cause in diarrhea, cramps, bloating, gas, gastrointestinal bleeding, iron-deficiency anemia, skin rashes, atherosclerosis, and acne. It is the primary cause of recurrent ear infections in children. It has also been linked to insulin dependent diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, infertility, and leukemia. Milk and refined sugar make two of the largest contributions to food induced ill health in our country.

That lie about milk taking calcium OUT of our bones has no evidence to support it, but it has been repeated so often that these anti-dairy activists forget that there is no proof of this claim. Our metabolism, including our ability to digest & absorb calcium from milk, is very like that of calves, & we digest & assimilate it just fine. It is incredible that these activists can be so uneducated about as issue so well established in the literature, but they are pushing an agenda, not informing.

The other two common lies repeated endlessly in these anti-dairy videos (which no one checks for accuracy) are that milk has pus in it, and that it takes calcium OUT of our bones (silly, I know, but they claim this!). Milk does NOT have pus, but modest numbers of unactivated white cells put there by the cow to protect the milk. These are identical to the many billions of unactivated white cells circulating in our blood as you read this. Pus in our blood? Ridiculous, just like saying pus in milk.

The regular monthly academic/professional journal, "Dairy Safety," has been published for many decades, sometimes finding problems which need to be addressed, but they have never had a study submitted that actually showed any causative role for dairy products in re cancer. That would be big news, & they are very watchful for any actual evidence, much less proof that there may be a risk.

More bothersome than these lies & snarky innuendo about plant sources being able to provide the calcium we need, are the terrible lies about dairy safety. Milk most certainly does NOT cause cancer, for instance, since research has been done continuously for many decades to examine that concern, and all the actual studies, not just population studies where you pick & choose the few countries which show the trend for which these activists seek, show no tendency for dairy to cause cancer.

Other relatively high-calcium plant sources are kale, requiring 13 servings to provide that RDA of calcium for kids, & broccoli, requiring 18. Since no one can eat that much of even the best plant sources, it is either dairy or supplements (or sardines & a few other special foods), to get that RDA. These anti-dairy activists sometimes try to argue that Chinese mustard greens or some other unrealistic garnish can provide enough calcium, but the astute reader will not be fooled by such propaganda.

Readers would be prudent to check with someone who knows something about nutrition, before "buying" what this anti-dairy activist says in this video. All current textbooks of nutrition, such as my September, 2012, "Present Knowledge in Nutrition," by Erdman et al, attest to the safety & high effectiveness of dairy products, especially in re to calcium, as only 4 servings provide the RDA thereof for kids, while no realistic plant source can do in less than 9.2 servings (bok choy).

Dairy (& Meat) industry is a very POWERFUL industry, they are so huge & rich, they lobby a lot of politicians. Even Al Gore knowingly aware of the destruction of the meat & dairy industry (according to UN Long Shadow Report 2006), the greenhouse gas emission from the meat farming is 18% which exceeded the total of vehicle, trains & planes add up together. Al Gore CHOOSE not to mention the meat/dairy industry. And we are well aware of Animal Proteins are extremely HARMFUL to human.

Milk is NOT a perfect food, nor is it a healthy food. It does contain growth hormones and fats. You cannot deny that.

My September, 2012, "Present Knowledge in Nutrition," by Erdman et al, is the most current textbook available, and it clearly supports the use of dairy products for calcium as well as other nutrients which growing kids & older adults need. Having used such textbooks to teach nutrition in college, I know that teachers of nutrition laugh, or cry, depending, at these ludicrous anti-dairy videos. They are highly biased, and are pushing an agenda which justifies their lies about the subject.
