How did you do the Jesus-ghost effect. Masking?

@AtheistIreland I put the camera on a tripod and filmed with out the actor. I did not move the camera and then got him to do his bit. In final cut I overlaid the two pieces of footage and then used the overlay composite mode. With this anything that is the same in the two bits of footage looks normal while anything different will look like a ghost.
