March for Palestine on Ashura

Throughout the world, the month of Muharram has stood as a reminder to mankind of the heroic struggle and martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as) (the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (saw)) on the day of Ashura, on the land of Karbala.

Today, as the world does nothing, the oppressed people echo the calls of Imam Hussain (as), "Is there anyone who will help us?"

On December 27th, 2009, the people of NY took to the streets in commemoration of Imam Hussain (as) while realizing his message and speaking out against oppression taking place across the globe today, most notably in Palestine.

Stand against the oppressors. Beat Zionism!
