Japanese version makes everything seem so sad and emotional, that makes you want them to stay together forever and ever but you know that's impossible.

American version - the music plus the scene makes it seem all sad, but the song reminds you of all the happy times they been together

ash's voice in english dub is crap but the music is nicer and less dramatic for a less dramatic anime
