Wow, I just read what I wrote a year ago. Man, I was too hard on you saying something like that. I must have been drinking when I wrote that. I'm just a huge Bromberg fan, as well as a wannabe. You're entitled to your own opinion. I apologize for my defensive nature.

  • @lewisnatmcmahon True. I was too hard on the guy. He's a great bass player, just not my "cup of tea." Amazing technique.

  • Brian is one of the greatest bassist of the 20 and 21st century... a true Renascence man.....

  • "Good news, you will never play a bad solo. The bad news, you will never play a good solo. You can't rate expression, its just too subjective."

    -John Clayton

  • @raymondl3 He's got perfect pitch, perfect time, and you're just jealous cuase he's got a more open mind then you do.

If he wanted to play a melody like all the other bass players in the world do over maiden voyage so the audience who paid a cover charge could hear it, he would.

In his defense, I would like to see more people sound like something unique instead of the SOS!

  • Totally unmelodic. When he can't think of a melody he resorts to finger patterns and tapping tricks.
