  • This is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen

  • Serious bussiness...

  • i hate to ask this but:

    what's the song at 5:48 ?

  • oh and lol @ the guy wearing two hats.

  • I've seen another film that uses the same half-animation-half-live-action style as this film. It's called "Food," it was created and directed by Czech filmmaker Jan Švankmajer in 1992. It's very surreal and strange like this film is. Also another film that comes to mind after watching this one is "Jenifer" (not a typo - spelled with only one 'n') . It has a "looping" beginning and end that is almost identical to the one in this film. Very beautifully produced, intricate & interesting. Thanks.

  • I was five years old the first time I saw this short film, I was so scared and I'm still so scared that I can't dare watch it now

  • wtf did i just watch?

  • I was indeed young and impressionable when I saw it. Gave me a fear of birds for a long time!

  • By the way, I think the audio might be a touch out of synch.

  • It is still very powerful. It's more powerful than the modern run-of-the-mill horror film. Horror films aren't scary because people are desensitised to violence; Harpya is freakish and uncanny, and it is impossibly to become desensitised to something so eerily mysterious.
