Deus Ex 3: Why Tranquilizer Rifle Is The Best Sniper Weapon + Saving Hostages

People don't seem to like the tranquilizer rifle but I think it's the best sniper weapon ingame to take out a full room of patroling guards. Skipping those groups is the other option, but you get less xp and loot for that.

@kevlonk If you leave the area with loading screen and come back then they are alive again. Also if you missed a partrol who awakes them

Pistol with silencer and armor piercing = best weapon imo.

shittest pacifist weapon ever. head shot everyone with it and now i have one skull showing up....wtf?!!!! tried leaving the body near two guards and firing a shot to see if they'd wake him up and see if it's just a visual glitch, but nope...i'm fucking screwed for the pacifist achievement it seems. stupid bug testers. this is a game breaking bug.

@RenzoGames tranq rifle worked for me all the way to the end. however a shot to the head with it can be a lethal dose. in case someone wants to go for pacifist remmember it

tranq rifle is only effective against the weaker enemies once you get further into the game it's pretty much useless

@ReallyBadSanta69 I think I read about that in a comment of another video. When you're 7 minutes or more in the Sarif Industries headquarter, the game treats the side mission as lost.

Once you have left Sarif Industries time doesn't matter anymore, though. So take your time exploring the level. You can explore the Sarif Headquarters after all after the level with the hostages anyway.
