Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin, surly Lord Macintosh and cantankerous Lord Dingwall. Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late.

Liked the movie a lot, but I thought it resolved too quickly. The animation was beautiful, but to me, the lack of intricacy in the plot (like there is in most other Pixar movies) was disappointing. Please don't hate, I was laughing throughout most of the movie and it's definetly their best animation ever!

I hope the Good Dinosaur teaser trailer will be amazing as this, not some stupid 30 sec comedy bit that makes 5 year olds laugh.

Well, I don't think this movie was that bad.

But.. I gotta agree. This teaser is unbelievably misleading. And yes, it could have been way better. You can put really mature and deep stuff in this! Screw the cliches, give me another kind of story! I thought this I was going to get: a tale of a badass girl that lives in the enchanted and dangerous woods of a misterious land, who gets involved in an epic battle filled with moral dilemmas which she must face in order to grow both wiser and stronger.

I think when people say this movie was a disappointment,that it wasn't kickass or 'up to Pixar standard' they missed the whole point.This movie was amazing;the animation was fantastic,the acting brilliant+the story heart warming+refreshing.It had a great mix between adventure,emotion,drama+comedy and was about a mother/daughter which sadly you don't see often+I loved that it showed children that you can be the sporty Merida type or the ladylike Elinor type and be equally worthy+equally strong.

This 60 second trailer is better than the hour and a half dissapointment that we got.

Seriously, were the movie like this trailer, then it would have been legendary.

The trailers for the movie were false advertising. From what they showed us I was expecting a dynamic kicka** movie about there being a curse on the land and Merida breaking it while also finding herself. The movie was absolutely nothing like that and was just okay. Also they advertised Merida as being completely bada** and heroic, on the same level as Mulan and Kim Possible, sadly she's nothing of the sort. They need to make a sequel and make it what they promised this movie would be.

Meh, this movie could've been better... it just didn't have Pixar's standards... it was.. missing something... maybe cause it was just too cliche!
