June 1, 2004 - In Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, where points were at a premium, forward Ron Artest delivered a forearm to the face of Pistons guard Richard Hamilton after perceiving Hamilton's attempted post up as an intent to injure.
Hamilton would hit both free throws and a Rasheed Wallace dunk on the subsequent play (seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH-t4-3F9Mo) would prove to be the difference in the ballgame. The win thrust the Detroit Pistons to their first NBA Finals appearance in fourteen years.
