Magister Ato episcopus Trecensis
(Maestro Ato, obispo de Troyes)
Huic Iacobo
condoluit dominus tempore passionis sue
velut carus caro suo mesticiam carnis sue,
ostendens ei et dicens.
Tristis est anima mea usque ad mortem.
Ostendens ei et dicens.

Ato Bishop of Troyes (1090-1145)
And the Lord grieved with James at the time
of his suffering, as though he were flesh
to his flesh, showing him his sadness and saying:
My soul is grieved even to death.
Showing him his sadness.
Performers: SEQUENTIA
Is this James the Greater or James the Lesser?
My intuition would tell me the prayer is a testimony of James the Lesser yet the scallop shell of James the Greater in the accompanied tapestry moves my mind toward James the Greater.
Bravo! Nonetheless.

Hello
This one is James the Greater (The Zebedee).
Is a reading taken from Matthew and Mark.
