@TheRiobezerko Those two characters had a lot more in common than they would admit. Loving husband and father, hard workers who believed in the American dream, and willing to speak their minds (even when they made no sense whatsoever). Neither of them were racist, they were just products of their times.

@Reubenhubert that's because both shows were created by the same writer. The episodes where George appeared on "All In The Family" before "The Jeffersons" spin off were classic.

Probably the first time I heard the "N" word was on The Jeffersons. However, my biggest memory of that show is the one where there was a bigot who had been giving George grief all episode. He later went into cardiac arrest and George did CPR, saving his life. When they were carrying him to the ambulance he asked who saved his life. They said "that man", pointing to George. Everyone expected the bigot to show remorse & be thankful. Instead he said "you should have just let me die" and looked away

Mrs. Jefferson is a Boar!!!
George Jefferson is a Badazz, I love this character, he wasn't a lazy nigger, he was a rich hard working Black American who wasn't afraid to speak his mind.

I used to love watching George Jefferson and Archie Bunker in All in the Family. They had a lot in common.
