He took up his sword against England; the cowardly Sassenach ran
He beat them at Falkirk and Stirling and burned them like rats from our land
King Edward of England was raging that Scotland was free once again

At last people with Sense, if we could Align ourself with our Irish cousins and kick these bastards out that would be a fine day for Both our great Gaelic nations.

Scottish Unionist are people who long to be accepted by their English peers and its always been the case, a Scottish man flying a union Jack should be shot on sight in my opinion.

your understanding of the jacobite situation is niave, to view lowland scots as some kind of higher culture is totally bizare, its strange (paradoxical) how many presbeterians are anything but and are happy to give up their independence, both political and spiritual, for a quick buck, the unification of scotland and england served only the interests of the rulling classes of both these countries and to hell with the rest of us, no matter our religious beleiefs!

the unification Scotland with England was the greatest thing that has happened for the Scottish people. at Culloden it was not a battle between the English and the Scottish rather between the backward looking primitive highland catholic population and that of the forward thinking intelligent lowland protestant population. a vast amount of true Scotsmen fought on the side of their fellow Englishmen to stop the catholic tyranny being imposed on Scotland

@murlizkev I'm sorry pal, as much as I agree with Scottish Patriotism and that I am proud to be Scottish, in order to be proud of our achievements, you need that education. I suppose there is a level of pride from your surroundings, but not based upon history, cause you need that education first. But aye, people who are not true Scots at heart are those that turn their back on the country.
