Lisa Loeb performs Stay (I missed you) during CES 2003 at the Sirius Satellite Stage.

Before the song she talked about all the people with digital cameras and illegal digital video recording. To my surprise Lisa directed this toward me and asked if she can have a copy for her website. I told her sure and then she started.

Is it illegal to video a performer in America then? I do it all the time over here in England. Some musicians don't like it, but most are ok about it. I try to ask first but it's not always possible.

I had two videos removed by YouTube a few months back because some old "has been" got the hump!

@MITCHWILD I don't think it is illegal; she just referred to it as illegal because she did not like it and was pretty nice to me after the performance when I got a photo with her. most people in the audience had a camera because she was performing at the Consumer Electronics Show :P

When I got home from Vegas, I tried getting in contact with the person who was running her website but never got a reply. In that email I included a link to download the video. It would have been neat if my video was added to her site but no such luck.

cute girl----great singer---nice song----that being said,, i think it was wrong of her to berate the videographer at the beginning of this performance----she must realize that fans who post videos on youtube can only add to the popularity of the artist, not to mention increasing record sales and downloads---i would think an aging artist (she will be 42 in march) would realize that a video like this can only help her career and popularity---reality check lisa!!!!!
