Demonstration of Fox Labs brand oleoresin capsicum (OC) pepper spray. Rated at 5.3 million SHU (Scoville Heat Units), it is (*advertised as) the hottest pepper spray in the world (hottest base formula on a 2% base, which makes "nozzle heat" less than certain other 10% OC brands if you believe the advertising labyrinth). It took over an hour to decontaminate. WARNING! Do not try this at home! It REALLY hurts!

Believe me, I couldn't resist it. If I made it look easy, let me assure you it wasn't. It took me about 2 and a half hours to decontaminate, and my eyes were infected for a week afterwards.

This stuff instantly burns and makes your eyes slam closed. If you can't see, you are at a major disadvantage in a fight, never mind the fact that it burns like hell and you can't really concentrate on anything except trying to relieve the pain. One of the most painful experiences of my life.

And he had is eyes shut and ready for the blast. imagine being an attacker and walking towards someone with your eyes open when you are blasted. I would imagine it would work even faster and hurt even more.

I wouldn't even keep my eyes open if I expected to be squirted with water from a squirt gun... would you? It's a natural protective reaction. However, I DID make sure to blink really big to get the stuff in my eyes.

It doesn't matter one way or the other. The stuff is more or less instantly incapacitating. I had to walk away from the impact point just to get out of the cloud of mist so I could breathe, and after I blinked, I couldn't open my eyes anymore. All I saw was orange.

Fox labs is great, it upsets me that most civilians rely on cheap department store/drug store OC sprays. Fox labs should make their keychain and 2oz units available in bar coded blister packs for retail sale.

I got sprayed by FOX for certification with a Z-pattern across the face (streamer).

3 second activation time and I just stepped in place and used tactical breathing until it wore off. Neither me or my partner used any water. Although my partner was on the verge of freaking out.

I was a little disappointed in this spray given its internet reputation. Then again, OC doesn't affect me as much as most people. If you ask me I would rather be sprayed with OC than CS. CS tear gas hurt me more.

sabre red so im EXTREMELY hesitant but finally turn around after a freind said "in 10 seconds hes gonna spray you anyway, 10 feet away closed eyes that time, (open eyes for the kubotan) 4 seconds of nothing and i say "i just got maced" and all of a sudden it kicks in! and that bought me to my knees, when 15 or 10 minutes passed i was able to open my eyes for a little more than half a second easily but it was like a horrific sunburn and when you try to open your eyes? getting poked in them HARD!
