David Lindsay-Abaire won a Pulitzer Prize in 2007 for his drama Rabbit Hole, only to be quickly ensnared by a spiders web. The world-class playwrite is in the final negotiations to write Spider Man 4 for Columbia Pictures.

Lindsay-Abaire maybe the final piece of the puzzle as far as this potential film is considered. Apparently Sam Raimi, Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst are all expected to return for the latest movie featuring the Marvel Comics Character. But that is all we really know. Producer Laura Ziskin says she hopes the film would be released in May 2011, but as far as plot details are considered-well all that juicy info is under lock and key.

Lindsay Abaire has said in interviews that his writing tends to surround people in need of clarity, which would probably put his work on sympathetic terms with Peter Park, who is nothing if not always the perpetual outsider.

With a theater writer working on the latest Spidey flick, it seems only fitting to remind viewers that efforts to take the film franchise to the Broadway stage continue. At the current moment 40 million dollars have been spent on this arguous process, which is the most expensive production in the history of all theater.
