Mr. Cocker is simply amazing. Watching his performance of this song in '68 or '69, then seeing the Mad Dogs and Englishmen version and then the version in '91 or '92 and this one in '07 displays a remarkable and sustaining talent that validates the man's ongoing popularity. He has the gift of song. And he puts all his soul into it. And that's what i hear.
