Sennen Cove Tyne Class RNLI Lifeboat `Norman Salvesen` recovering after a service launch to search for a missing person - false alarm with good intent. 14th September 2004
The black smoke is the RNLI engineering dept. who with GM diesels got the engines to give full power from the word go.The boats never did this when new but you need alot of power very quick in a lifeboat. As for the Ddecs i will let other people make there own minds up if they think its good for a lifeboat or the engineer with all the problems.
oh for goodness sake how long does it take? and shut that damm dog up why dont you ?

Fantastic video. Fantastic seamanship - ah the benefits of being permanently afloat!

what a pain in the ass...if the seas were really rough, they would never be able to do that. Not a very efficent way of docking a boat
