  • There will never be another singer/guitarist like Bruce Cockburn in any lifetime. He is truely one of a kind

  • I hate "the music business". But I look at it this way, I know Bruce Cockburn has played more than once with Eric Clapton (among other greats), and I know Eric Clapton doesn't play with just anybody.

  • A great song. Blind Willy was a great man... his song lives on!

  • thanks, Michiel, I got to hear Jerry Douglas play, with Alison Krauss, in San Francisco, a few years ago, at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. This guy, Rob Ickes, was referred to me by a buddy, yesterday, MIchiel1972:

(can't post the url here, apparently, but you can search for him on youtube.. )

My friend also suggested listening to Tony Rice, playing Shenandoah.

  • @jscotthales I am not sure who the slide/dobro guitarplayer is, but he looks like Dan Dugmore. Anyway, if you like that kind of dobro slide sound you might also want to check out Jerry Douglas in case you don't know him. The best guitar for that kind of slide playing (lapsteel style) is the Weissenborn. Check out on youtube 'Alison Krauss Union Station - Faraway Land' or 'Alison Krauss Union Station - Man of Constant Sorrow' from a live DVD from 2002

  • anyone know who is playing slide behind him? Sounds great, too.. love Bruce..

  • There will never be another Blind willie johnson he really was amazin!!!

  • The guy is just great...

  • @CerebralGump Clapton was asked once 'how does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in t he world' and Eric Clapton said, "I don't know. Ask Bruce Cockburn."

  • That's my Cockburn.

  • my dad got me into Bruce when i was really young

still love the music he makes.
