Showreel for Stefan Sargent's London video facility, hosted by Jim Smiley. Molinare was first to introduce 1" videptape recorders, first with digital video effects (Vital Industries' SqueeZoom), first with ENG cameras like the Ikegami HL79, first with computer graphics (Dubner). The showreel has clips of Blondie (Parallel Lines), Gary Numan (Cars), Hot Gossip with Sarah Brightman, Suzi Quatro, Gary Numan, The Three Degrees

  • Well you're obviously not the real Jim Smiley. So you know John Rothwell "mouthing obscenities " - utter nonsense.

Come clean - who are you? And spell my name with an "f" - Stefan

  • Hi, I'm Jim Smiley. You may remember me from such videos as "Say no to paraphilia" and "Phil Hartman - an apology"....

Shot a few months before I joined, I love the Handy Andies infomercial off the Multiplexer - a slide scanner and prism box that died a death soon after this era, thank goodness. No credit for Bob Seaward, curious. Great to see John Rothwell mouthing obscenities as he laces the TK! Well done Stephan!
