Another song from the "Swing Era".
I'm sorry for the delay with which I have published it... Thank you for your patience.
In this video I find to play like "Stride Piano" style...It is no perfect, anyway...I hope you have fun!

Mallets: Vic Firth M25 Gary Burton
Vibraphone: Musser Pro Traveler Gold
Microphone: AKG CB3000
Computer: Macintosh MacBook Pro 13''

:)

Marco

p.s. There are no sheet music of this "arrangiament"... It is an improvvisation like "the old Crazy Rhythm".

  • Great performance! Tight and groovy!

I have a question for the mallets you use here: do they work in a setting where you play with a drummer and bassist? Do they cut through through?

    -Christian

  • @iLundqvist Hi Christian!!! Thank you for your comment!!! :) I use this mallets with a quartet or quintett too. They Are very good for my bands. I played in duo and big band too... I love it! Take care and all the best for your Music! Marco

  • OEHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

    Hi Marco,

thanks for your reply. I'm fine, this month is filled with mixing days for my album. When it's released I'll send u one.

Let's talk about it on FB. Good idea.

    Ciao,

    V

  • @kinovibes In the mallets section you say ? I only saw mallets, maybe you can tell me more, I really would like to see prices for flight cases. Thank you Marco ! Your help is appreciated !

  • @Jcc477 haaha!!! Don't worry man! The flight case are very expansive for me... I don't remember how much... but if you want to know it, you can go on the official Musser site (mallets sections). I use a flight case made in Meda (near Milan) by an italian manufacturer :)

"To take apart": I use this words but english is not my official linguage too... ;)

I would like to tell you that the time who I use to assemble all the parts of vibes is more long with the Pro Traveler. M55 is fast but heavy ;)

  • @kinovibes Hi Marco, I didn't understand what you mean by « to take a part ». I'm sorry, english isn't my first language. But I really appreciate your opinion. You told me the Pro-Traveler can be fly ? Does it mean that you own a flight case for this model ? If yes, maybe you can tell me where you found it and how it cost approximativly ? If you don't want to, it's ok to keep secret his equipement, haha!

  • @Jcc477 Hi Jcc477 !!! I am very happy for my Musser. The Traveler-Pro is the best for me. The sound is perfect for the Music that I play and it's wonderful for "my sound idea". I have not play an M55 Gold never, but I think they have a similar keyboards. The Traveler can be fly but it's long to take a part... M55 is very big but fast to take a part. I have an M55 Silver for the concert that I put in my car... It's good... but very heavy. :)

    Thank you for your comments!

    take care

    marco :)
