Part 2 of my revamping of this great sequence from Superman II. New music, faster pace, lots of fun. I hope you enjoy it.

At 3:54 to 4:00--This is my favorite version of General Zod's "Why do you say this to me when you know I will kill you for it?" line...from Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut. Though we grew up watching the 1980/1981 release of Superman II (directed by Richard Lester), General Zod in the Donner Cut is more serious and menacing...of which I've come to love even more than in the Superman II 1980/1981 release.

I agree across the board. I prefer the dark menacing Zod. Seems much more consistent with the Zod from STM, which is what this film is supposed to be a continuation of, as you know. Thanks again for commenting!

The love theme is kinda an ackward cue when Superman bite's the big bus and then rise'es again. But still , a lotta great work there. I'd love for you too do the entire movie , put it on a disc and send it too my house. Haahaa.Very Lean and mean. I'll give it a big thumb's up. And that's from an old school Superman nut.

I agree with you about the love theme, which is why I cut it. I thought I reposted the scene with the new music cues. Guess not. Regardless, thanks so much for your thumbs up. I LOVE STM and just want SII to feel just as solid and just as timeless and epic. When the dvd is done, I'll be glad to let you know. It's very important to me to to be able to make the dvd of my vision for this wonderful film.

Thanks for the encouragment. BTW, I believe I did post the new music cues in "Rescored Battle Ending." Works MUCH better. Thanks again, Jayce. I hope give this project the same attention and dedication that Donner had when making STM.

hah! So glad they cut that part out. Even when I was a kid I noticed that weird smirk and it always bothered me.

Good catch. I thought it was only me and my buddy who caught that. We envision some guy was off camera making silly faces at him.

WOW, they cut out the scene in the beginning where Superman says "No, Dont do it, the people"....and has a huge smile on his face.

In the previous film Superman ploughed under the earth to suppress an earthquake, moving a tectonic plate in the process. Yet here he is unable to halt a sliding bus which knocks him unconscious for two minutes. This is a MAJOR CONSISTENCY FAIL. He should have been able to catch that bus on one finger and spin it like a basketball. Not that the people inside would have liked that very much.

No that is ignorance and stupidity, they saw Superman getting blows and even with his superpowers he couldn't take the 3 on- if I was them I would literally get on me knees and beg for mercy- even if they all had machine guns they wouldn't even make a scratch on their bodies- let alone their sticks and what have you not.

I love when after Zod says, "Why do you say this to me when you know I will kill you for it?" Lex starts rambling about how he is "The Greatest Criminal Mastermind of Our Time" and Ursa says, "LET ME KILL HIM!"

im going to have to disagree. I prefer the other version. He seems absolutely puzzled that anyone would be crazy and suicidal enough to talk back to him like that. but you know to each his own :)

:52 to 1:05 One of the best moments in film history. A bunch of common city folk get angry, and walk towards Zod and company with 2x4's and rubber cones. They know they're screwed and likely dead no matter what, but they charge forward with equal parts anger and bravery.

Good thing Superman moved the battle to the Fortress. No innocent bystanders there.. Great job!
