  • i grabbed my speaker and i put it just in front/middle of my screen...all worked out pretty well xD

  • @comedyman112 Haha sorry about that, got a new microphone and a new way of recording, made a mistake which I somehow missed on the production floor.

  • @paulnrswain At its heart, silly cyclists is about safety. We point out errors that people know about and those that people are not aware of. How else are we to educate those who watch this and don't know about the door zone?

Hitting the ground can be painful and at its roots, road safety involves reading the road.

How silly that makes people... it's hard to quantify. No2 is that high because it highlights a basic element of cycling that everyone should be aware of.

  • Yes it's sad, but (like car drivers) some of us are our worst enemies. But it's probably fair to say that most cyclists are responsible and fair road users. There's just some idiots out there.

  • @MrZonca128 I think the left/right hand thing just depends on what you are used to. I once hired a bike with the front brake on the left, and it was very disorienting. Having ridden a motorcycle for several years when I was younger, the right hand seems most natural for the front brake.

  • @MrGrumpycyclist I was just putting it forward as a suggestion because I know it works for me - it was a tip I picked up from a cycle-cross manual 40 years ago - and you will note I said in an emergency. I manage well enough for fine control and I think that has more to do with the quality of brake, brake block and rim. The best braking performance I have ever experienced is with Shimano Dura Ace on clean ceramic rims rims-nothing else comes close. Anyway if it's good enough for Eddy Merckx!

  • @MrZonca128 Both of my hands are more than strong enough to lock up a wheel using the brakes. Being right-handed, though, I feel it is important to have the hand over which I have the best fine control operating the important front brake.

  • @MrZonca128 I'm right handed, yet I manage to use my right handed front brake just fine. It's really not a problem, you are much less likely to lock up the front than you are the rear.

  • PS I have 9 bikes and it is vital the brakes on every bike are set up the same way - it is a recipe for disaster if they aren't

  • My right hand controls the back brake for safety reasons- I'm right handed so there is a risk if I grabbed the brakes in an emergency with my stronger hand I would lock the front wheel - far more dangerous to the face than a back wheel lock up.

  • I love the look on cyclist # 3. You ALSO have headphones. What a hazard!

  • @sillycyclists true man, i've actually became a much better cyclist watching these vids.

  • great cycling at the end!

dont forget those pesky leaves in the wet too!
