I have an iBook g4 and i cant seem to get ubuntu on mine andi was wondering how you got ubuntu on it, and if you could send me a link (if thats how you got it).

Your only hope, and I mean your only hope of playing 720p on an ibook is CorePlayer, a 20 buck paid app. It has a proprietary software decoder that is without par. Youview and Mactubes will play 480p youtube streams by bypassing flash in favor of quicktime or ffmpeg.

did you try xmbc? it played 720p pretty nicely on my low-end acer with maverick.
