http://www.euronews.net/ On her first political outing since announcing she will run for parliament, Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has called for changes to the 2008 military-drafted constitution.
Suu Kyi, who heads up the National League for Democracy (NLD) was greeted by jubilant crowds on what is only her fourth trip outside since her house arrest ended over a year ago.
Freedom to Burma

I pray that through its transition to become a full fledged Democracy, Myanmar becomes a nation that sets the new standard for social justice and equality throughout Asia. As the constitution is the foundation for this nation, it must reflect the will of the people and it must be for the people of Myanmar. They must also never give up their culture and unique values to rapidly attain western styles freedom. If they do they will become a huge world resort, factory and takeout chain.

The rate of reform in Burma has been incredible. I thought there would never be any change, but I guess you do get exceptions in dictatorships.
