  • These songs are must more original than other bollyhood imitation.

  • Aw yes! Its combination of folk dance with some added flavor of modern music.

  • Which culture is this?

  • The dance scene is lifted from very popular "Khumba Thoibi Jagoi"(Traditional Manipuri Dance).Manipur! a small state located in North East Part of the India. The background scene is "Loktak Lake". You can access @ wikimapia(org)/#y=24572104&x=93927612&z=9&l=0&m=a&v=2

  • This one can't be translated. Absolutely there will be lost of meaning and expression.

The boys and girls of Moirang go out to the Lake to enjoy the breeze and calm water on dug out boats. They sing of the easterly wind that is blowing gently on the lovely hair of the girls. While trying to hold on to the boat from drowing, the breeze is enjoying itself by teasing the girls by blowing their hairs.

  • mAnipuri........

  • Is there a translation?

  • What language?

  • Well yes they would be, as bollywood is a fusion of many dances and cultures. But moreso, Bollywood features cultures and traditions from more central, northern, and southern India. The movies and the actors have to appeal to the majority of the people, that's why most have a stereotypical facial structure and skin tone.
