I went to Great Stirrup Cay (GSC) the first time in August of 2010. That was my first time snorkeling. I went back in November of the same year and it was a world of difference. The water was rough as it was for you and the air temp windy and a little cool. The water temp was excellent. You was ok as long as you stayed in the water. When the water is not rough, there is a great waverunner excursion on the other side of the island. Nicer in August.
