  • It's taken like 30 years of practice(He originally wanted to be a guitarist)for him to play rhythm and sing at the same time, I can't believe it really is that hard for some people to do. nice to see him actually play the guitar on something besides Kite.

  • Oh dear.

  • @TheEeyoraus It's terrible because the song is hardly recognizable..I'm all for 'making it your own' but Bono sucks on this song... Listen to the original by Dylan or Joe Cocker or Jerry Garcia.. Bono should be run out of town on a rail.. This song is a national treasure, it's awesome,so why would Bono purposefully screw it up ?

Even Nina Simone did it better.. Listen to the song on the Last Waltz version, the Band and friends.. I'm really PO'd at Bono

  • OMG.. How can one man screw this song up worse than Bono just did? Dude, you should apologize to Dylan post haste P-I-T-I-F-U-L-L-L-L-L-

    .

  • Oops, not Joan, Mary! I was confusing two videos. I am old and these things happen. Awesome vocals albeit once upon a time mainstream.

Ahhhh, i see. I'm not a musician and i can completely understand why a musician would not like the song being dumbed down. Have you heard the Joni Mitchell, Cass Elliot, Joan Biaz version? I like it much better than this one. I don't agree that Bono ruins everything he touches. he's a good guy that uses his fame to try and do some good. That's not a bad thing. But thank you very much for explaining your issue to me.

  • @TheEeyoraus 1. He inexplicably tossed aside the old chord progression, with the only possible reason being his new chord progression is easier.

    2. The first one is good enough, the original chord progression was beautiful. But fine. Bono ruins everything he touches. Yes, many people like Bono. Many people also like Kenny G, Christina Aguilera, and Keith Urban. THAT is the problem with mainstream success, it means nothing. Everything U2 and Bono have ever made sound the same, see number 1.

Well, please explain to me why it's terrible. Seems to me that Bono is a good singer, very popular means many people agree. He tried his best to do a lot of good. Wyclef also has many many fans. This is an amazing song. So tell me why it's terrible.

  • @TheEeyoraus It's sad that you don't realize why this is terrible.
