  • @jarden69 Today the huge music corporations that signed those bands only sign bland, cookie-cutter acts that won't be the catalyst nor van guard for counter-culture movements, thus today ALL of the talent is in underground music.

It's also hard for mainstream rock to continue on when Nirvana, Sublime, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam and other similar bands from the 90's all either burned out or had their wells of creativity dry out.

  • @musiclover2161 I respect your taste, but those bands just don't do it for me anymore ( their old music from the 90's always will, though). I don't just like a collection of riffs with drumming and vocals, I like creativity and direction in music, especially albums, so PJ, STP and Foo Fighters just don't cut it anymore. All three of them have dried up, in my opinion, and the latter has gone far too commercial and generic for my tastes. I prefer raw, thought-invoking music, hence the NY video. =]

  • I'm alone and its dark....still makes me sad kurt quoted this. much love neil

  • Neil Young will NEVER fade away. His music is timeless.

  • sadness when your ex boyfriend post's this on Facebook...

  • Neil Young is the Greek God of not giving a fuck and the father of grunge.

  • @limbo10000 , your close , 93 people are fucks!!

  • i know neil probably didn't mean it like this but when i listen to hey hey my my (electric version) i think of it being about music, but when i hear this version even though the lyrics are the same i get a feeling that it's about life

  • one of the most moving pieces of music i've ever heard. nothing to me has ever been as simultaneously beautiful and gut-wrenching as this song. everything neil says is prolific and carries weight.

  • I didn't know Roger Waters can play Drums in this song!? Wow
