Osallistuin opiskelijoiden SM-kisoihin, joissa kilpailtiin raakana. Tulos SQ: 165kg BP: 112,5kg DL: 240kg Total: 517,5kg @ 83,25kg BW

"raw powerlifting competition" "sumo deadlift" "wide squat" "deadlift record" "powerlifting sumo deadlift" "no gear"

Kisoissa oli mahtava meininki ja nostamassa oli mukava olla. Nämä olivat ensimmäiset viralliset kilpailuni ja siitä johtuen tein kaikissa liikkeissä ennätykseni.

There was great athmosphere in the competition and it was very nice to be lifting in there. These were my first official competitions so I made personal records in squat, bench and deadlift.

  • Going by the squat and dead, looks like your lower back is your weak link.

  • @snizshizzle Thank you for your notice. I have been trying to improve my lower back and overall strenght. Do you have any good tips for me, how should I try to make my lower back stronger.

In this competition my squat&deadlift techniques were horrible, but I have been able to make them better during last year. Lower back still lags strenght/hold but it's bit better now.

Box squats are amazing for teaching correct squat form and learning to stay upright and keep the back tight during the squat. Improving form will do more than anything. Add in some lower back exercises after your main lifts. I find goodmornings, zercher goodmornings, and deadlift variations such as snatch grip and romanian work well. I personally use any of these lifts either as a core lift with heavy weight or as an assistance exercise for 2-3 sets of 8-12 reps after my main lifts.
