it's absurd, it should only be unsportsmanlike if the player directs a taunt at an opposing player or coach. Celebrating your own success is not unsportsmanlike!! you can't eliminate emotion from the game
again, its a ref trying to see something that isn't there. tim brando nailed SEC head of officials on this. they are trying to interject themselves into the game. other crews from other conferences make mistakes. but there's a cultural motive behind what Rogers Redding, head of SEC officials, is trying to do in the SEC. its possibly borderline racism. especially when you consider what Tim Tebow used to do.
