Here is the new Torchmate 2x2 CNC machine using a plasma cutter to cut an aluminum dash plate. We are now taking deposits. We will begin shipping in December 2009 and be in full production by January 2010. Now priced at $2,995 for the basic system. The hand torch holder is an additional $235 or you can fabricate your own torch mount.

  • These are cool but they say only 150ipm feed so I cannot cut anything my plasma lists over 150ipm. I was also told no milling over .015" deep in 6061 aluminum. Seems very poochy to me. Hypertherm lists their 45 unit as cutting 10g @ 140ipm and 12g even faster. So I cannot cut sheetmetal and I cannot mill very well. I am not sure why I considered this machine. Maybe you have a faster more robust machine for me. We have Mori seiki's at work that move very fast.

  • @TheQuickcnc The cut speeds that we list are recommended. We have had this machine moving at 600 inches per minute successfully. We don’t recommend cutting faster than 150 ipm with any machine for the simple reason that faster does not always mean better. As far as milling aluminum, the .015” is the recommended incremental depth (the depth per pass). You can make as many passes as required to achieve the final depth required. Again, this is a prototyping machine, not a production machine.

  • @TheQuickcnc it’s material thinner than 12 gauge that requires faster cut speeds, and all of our larger machines will move at 500+ ipm. The 2x2 and the 2x4 use a different drive system and smaller motors, so have a lower recommended maximum speed. Even so, they will move at 300 ipm when set up correctly.

  • Deu pra ver que o corte antes do ultimo nao cortou certo.O que aconteceu?Mas a maquina ta muito boa....

  • Good One...

  • very neat
