Representative Erik Paulsen (MN-03) delivers remarks during Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Week encouraging others to support the Pulmonary Fibrosis Research Enhancement Act.

The bipartisan legislation will create a national registry, encourage federal research at the National Institutes of Health, and create a national action plan so that we can better understand this deadly disease and one day discover an effective treatment.

  • Thank you Rep. Paulsen. My father died from this terrible disease on June 28, and it was a terrible way to die. This is worthy legislation, and research money is desperately needed. Please take a few minutes to contact your legislators to co-sponsor this legislation. Thank you

  • Thank you Rep.Paulsen. My mother died May 4th, 2006 from Pulmonary Fibrosis. It seemed to take forever for her to be diagnosed with the disease for them to tell her there was nothing they could do for her. The only thing that helped was steroids which caused weight gain and wide flucuations in her blood glucose. With that she was unable to get a lung transplant. I do not want to see anyone else died the way she did.

  • Thank you Rep. Paulsen for bringing awareness to this disease! We need support for PFREA and research. Ask your Representatives and Senators to support PFREA!
