5.11 has a great selection of socks. They may seem a little expensive at first, but you really do get what you pay for compared to the cheap department store socks.

@bigdaddyitalia22 I've had a fair amount of requests for and EDC vid. I'll have to look into doing one. Although pretty much I carry a knife, light and gun if I'm not working and knife light and pen if I am working. Nothing too special.

@snareman95: I own a Rush MOAB 10 and cannot stand the strap they use. Who thought it would be a good idea put padding on only half the strap? Strange.

There are other companies that authorize veteran discounts. Like buying Propper, Tru-Spec or any other brand as long as you have a legit ".mil or .dod" email address you'll receive a discount. I know that where I order from a lot,"Tactical Distributors" and "OpsGear" they require the email, but do not offer the discount on 5.11 products.

@PersonalGeek I did have stitching issues with the first pair of flextacs that I had which I was able to fix on my own by removing a stitch. Also had a seam that was coming apart at the bottom of the Job Shirt I got, but they sent me a new one quickly and I haven't had any other problem with it. Do other companies offer discounts for vets? (I'm asking because I don't know)

nothing from 5.11 is well priced for he quality. I have abandoned their products after the $60 pair of pants hav had stitching issues. Even after sending them back, same issues.

5.11 doesn't make that great of products. I'll level with you, they don't hold up in battle or on the street at all!

Plus, 5.11 doesn't offer any type of discount to veterans, that's pretty crappy.
