  • Well, I'm so sorry to hear that Nzoz......how do you know that for sure?

  • @wilgreenstreet

Sadly, Gerry died on the 2nd of December, 2005, in London, due to a heart attack.

Information can be found on google. I was also sorry to hear about this. One of my father's most treasured memories was seeing the Loved Ones live in 1987 and meeting Gerry.

  • Could be nnoz! What do I know.....Gerry always seemed to be just like that to me....you'd have to ask him....not that it matters really!

  • @wilgreenstreet

I would, but Gerry died 5 years ago!

  • I seem to recall that I was nominated "Producer" on this....there was very little to do, as everyone knew what to do. Essentially, playing on this session were all the members from a popular group at that time called "Daddy Cool" outside of that was Mark Kennedy and myself (Billy Green) aka Wil Greenstreet....John French was the engineer...a very skilled one at that...I worked w/ John a lot....I did the whole film score for Aussie biker movie "Stone" with John.

    Gerry was not stoned....

  • @wilgreenstreet

Excellent, thanks for the info... particularly what you did for the 'Stone' movie...

My dad, who met Gerry backstage after fooling security into thinking he was Gerry & The Loved Ones manager, made comment that Gerry looked high in this clip.

  • my favorite version of this song 35 years ago , and still today the best version , I just got back from europe around '87 and loved his music , 2 days back found myself as a waiter at the AFI awards and saw him perform , i decided then i wanted to be a singer , but one slight problem I cant sing for shit, so I listen every now and then to this song and love his vocal levels sensational stuff

  • sweet nzoz fuckin sweet.

  • The female singers were Margret RoadKnight, Barbara Bacon and Pat Woolley.

  • I was filmed at TCS studio Melbourne , that's the great John French engineering.

  • Aaaaaawwww! My heart sinks......! Gerry was so special....a sweet renegade !!!!!
