Slovakiaring in HD: The very first ride onboard

SLOVAKIARING is a brand new, 5,9 km long high speed race track in the Slovak Republic near the City Dunajská Streda. The track is passable in 6 variations each in both directions. On 1 October 2009, the opening ceremony took place. On the day before, I get the exclusive opportunity to test this racetrack as very first motorcyclist. Because of the construction work, the track was very dirty and, unfortunately, allowed no hard driving in this first session. This video shows one of the last laps of this test session on 30.9.09.
My first impression: This track is a "dream come reality" of tarmac and speed and will attract international attention.

Der SLOVAKIARING ist eine brandneue, 5,9km lange superschnelle Rennstrecke in der Slowakei nahe der Stadt Dunajská Streda. Die Strecke ist in 6 Varianten jeweils in beide Richtungen befahrbar. Am 1 Oktober 2009 fand die Eröffnungsfeier statt. Einen Tag zuvor hatte ich die exklusive Möglichkeit als erster Motorradfahrer überhaupt die Strecke zu testen. Die noch sehr stark verschmutzte Strecke hatte leider noch kaum Grip und erlaubte noch keine starken Schräglagen oder harte Bremsmanöver. Dieses Video zeigt eine der letzten Runden der Testsession am 30.9.09.
Mein erster Eindruck: Diese Strecke ist ein Realität gewordener Traum aus Asphalt und Speed die international Aufsehen erregen wird.

Im Rennsport interessiert sich niemand für km/h. Es ist ein Kampfsport! Die Gegner sind Rennfahrer und die Strecke. Zahlen sind was für Nintendo Milchbubis.

Nobody in racing cares for km/h. It´s martial arts against competitors and the track. Numbers are for Nintendo crybabies.

Have you ever seen Monza? Or Laguna Seca? Or Hockenheim? Or Grobnik? Or Budapest? Or Salzburgring? This track is officially homologated for nearly every kind of racing. But if motor sport is to dangerous, you will also find a wide choice of other sports for you. Maybe synchron swimming...

@BergerMotorsport Yes I understood what You were saying, but it was a bit funny :)

I usually race in a simulator (Live for Speed), and sometimes it can be useful (however I always concentrate more to stay on the ideal line, defend my position etc. than watching the speedo) BUT if You KNOW, where is the LIMIT (-> 1 more km/h and You are dead...) a blink to the speedometer could be -as I said - useful. :)

podle tohodle videa to vypadá na dost nudnou trat :( zady extremní brzdení, žadny utahujici se zatacky, zadny slozity sikany... proste nuda
