www.RooseveltRaceway.us -- email me for races on dvd. $643,000 purse ... Standing O & Haughton, Walkabout & Gilmour, Major Force & O'Donnell, Pudgt & Campbell, Supreme Dynasty & Lohmeyer, Ramblin Storm & Abbatiello, Anxious Robby & LaChance, Praised Dignity & Popfinger, Slam Jam & Daigneault
I remember anxious robby pushed Nihilatorfor all he was worth in the 1985 Meadowlands Pace elimination, and that Ramblin Storm didn't actually peak until 1990 or so running 1:51 miles. You have to laugh when you see 59 half and 1:29 three quarters in a field like this . It just shows youhow much everything has changed.

Praised Dignity was an amazing 2-year-old. Grinding down a field of this caliber while racing the final 3/4 on the outside is impressive at any age, but as a juvenile pacer -- WOW! He went on to earn over $1.1 million in 1984, then never raced again. Never heard why -- must have been a bad injury, though he had some success as a sire.
There was quite a crop of 2-year-olds in 1984 -- Nihilator, Dragon's Lair, Broadway Express, etc.
