@TheDjdice any controller should work, but to be sure, make sure that the controller is a universal dmx controller, like the 'chauvet obey 40' - which is the controller that i have

Hey i was wondering i just got 4 elation powerspot 575 moving heads, would any dmx controller work with those or does it have to be a elation controller?

I have an American DJ DMX Operator II, and so far it's just been a pain. It just won't let me manually control the lights at all, even when set to program mode and moving any slider just makes the light do one of two random combinations of movements and gobo/color changes, happened with both Pocket Scans and Mini Mac Profiles. It's got me panicking, and I can't tell what I did wrong.

@videoboygeorge No, it stores your settings. When you power it back up, it goes to scene 1, bank 1.

yes i own 3 moving yokes 8 scanners, 10 led fixtures and they are all mix of american dj and chauvet

appreciate the video. Personaly wich do you prefer - programing all the lights, or just letting them run on sound activated? be honest let me know how you feel and what are the pros, and cons. Im debating on geting a dmx controller or just leting everything run on sound active.

depends on the venue. some i just run sound active, however sometime haveing complet controle on the colors, gobos, and postions of your lights really gives you and edge from otheer djs i reaaly reccommend a DMX board, if u want to go cheap go with the ELation DMX PRO it runs about $199.99
