this has helped me sooooo much! I quit using my slap straps because they were so heavy (and I had the micros too) and started using 550 cord, but all my knots were so hard to tie/untie after loaded. This is by far the best way I have ever seen! I also switched out the heavy biners for micro quick draws to save more weight too. YOU RULE!!!

I like 9/16" Rock Climbing Spec webbing from REI the most. It's slim, light and super strong.
Any Rock climbing or military spec webbing will work fine. But the thinner one is best.

I believe it's a "Mammut Moses Wiregate Carabiner" from REI but I like the oval ones better for this actually. (like the Black Diamond Oval Wiregate Carabiner which only costs about 60 cents more).

Because it's lighter, quicker, and cheaper.
You can use a Locking Carabiner if you like.
