  • I don't get it...what is backmasking?

  • Backmasking is playing a song backwards. Sometimes when played in reverse it sounds like you hear other words which weren't intended to be recorded. Some bands purposely put in backwards messages, but most of the time its just a coincidence.

  • haha that's cool. in my video i just reversed the "i walk the line" part and it comes out to "i'll break ur hip" lol. check it out!

  • Cool, I don't know why I didn't notice the "I'll break you hip" part when I backmasked it. LOL

  • Wow. I expected this to be some sort of Satanic backmasking, but Johnny Cash was actually thanking God for helping him through life, and hoping people would reach out to Him through his music. This is probably the only good style of backmasking there is.

  • Interesting. Really cool though!

  • WOW, COULD CASH BE A BETTER MAN ( =

  • Nice!!! Always did have a feeling his stuff was good. ^_^

  • @lolyounoon1 right.

  • @MRBORGHEAD as do you

  • @retardeddummy you have that name for a reason.

  • this is wonderful.

  • @grungegopher Actually it is a message by the spirit or the thought or mind that gave you the idea for the song in the first place. Johnny even with all of his drug problems still kept Jesus first in his thoughts. It came out in this song. He was talking about his soon to be wife as well as God. If a group or singer puts it in on purpose you will know by the way the song sounds. This you would never know unless you played it backwards. But we still hear it we just think we do.

  • second one made no sense

  • @01artist Backwards, without looking at the words, nothing, gibberish. After you've read the words though your brain corrects the gibberish into a word you already know, thus making it sound like whatever word was first connected.
